Itinerary

Your 6-day Kathmandu Valley and Chitwan National Park tour begins in the valley, where you visit several UNESCO World Heritage Sites scattered in Kathmandu, which are all cities within the Kathmandu Valley. These sites showcase Kathmandu's rich cultural heritage, such as its architectural marvels and the ancient Hindu and Buddhist relics. We end our tour in Chitwan, famous for housing Chitwan National Park, another World Heritage Site. In the steamy sub-tropical jungles of Chitwan, we enjoy bird-watching and a laidback safari by elephant-back while also getting acquainted with the tribal culture of the region.

Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, Peregrine Treks will arrange to pick us up from the airport. We will then be transferred to Samsara Resort. We can either visit Peregrine Treks' office in Thamel or take a rest in our hotel room during the late afternoon. In the evening, a welcome dinner will be hosted by Peregrine Treks. The architecture resembles the Malla dynasty, which ruled Nepal from the 12th to the 18th century. Swayambhunath Temple is famous among foreigners as the Monkey Temple owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. Pashupatinath Temple is situated on the banks of river Bagmati and is one of the principal temples of Lord Shiva. The Bauddhanath Stupa is one of South Asia's largest stupas and was built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.
